United States to send military ships, aircraft closer to Israel
The United States has taken significant steps to show its support for Israel in the midst of escalating tensions in the region. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that multiple military ships and aircraft would be deployed closer to Israel. This move comes as Washington believes that recent deadly attacks by Hamas may have been aimed at disrupting potential efforts to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

This force includes the carrier itself a guided missile cruiser and four guided missile destroyers. additionally the United States has taken steps to enhance the presence of U.S. Air Force fighter aircraft including F-35 F-15 F-16 and A-10 squadrons in the region. The U.S. is also providing munitions to Israel.
President Joe Biden assured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of additional assistance for the Israeli Defence Forces during their conversation. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris also spoke with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
